JISCE Kolkata Admission Process 2023: Fast facts

Admission process for various UG and PG courses offered by JISCE differs depending on the stream. Admission to a majority of courses offered by JIS College of Engineering is entrance-based. Apart from JEE Main, GATE and MAT, candidates can also appear for WBJEE, JEMAT, WBUT PGET and CEE AMPAI for admission to UG and PG courses offered by JISCE. WBJEE and JEMAT are held in offline mode, whereas, WBUT PGET and CEE AMPAI Masters are conducted in both offline and online mode.

  • JISCE BTech admission is based on JEE Main, WBJEE or CEE AMPAI rank followed by the counselling process conducted by WBJEE or MAKAUT
  • Admission to BBA is based on merit
• PG Courses
  • For MTech, a valid score in GATE or WBUT PGET is required
  • JISCE MBA admission is based on marks scored in MAT, JEMAT or CEE AMPAI Masters followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD and PI) conducted by MAKAUT
• Lateral entry admissions are offered for BTech

JISCE Kolkata UG Admission 2023

Admission to JISCE UG courses is done based on rules and guidelines set by MAKAUT. JISCE offers three courses at UG level. Admission to JISCE BTech programme is entrance-based. For admission to BBA and BCA, students are shortlisted based on marks scored in the qualifying exam.

JISCE Kolkata BTech Admission 2023

JISCE offers full-time BTech in seven specialisations. Admission to BTech programme is based on WBJEE, JEE Main or CEE AMPAI rank followed by the counselling process. Candidates with JEE Main or WBJEE rank need to participate in WBJEE counselling. Aspirants with CEE AMPAI rank need to take part in MAKAUT counselling. The total seat intake for this programme is 720. Mentioned below is the eligibility criteria for BTech:

JISCE Kolkata Admission 2023: BBA, BCA

JIS College of Engineering also offers BBA and BCA at UG level. Admission to BBA and BCA is based on merit. Candidates need to participate in the counselling process conducted by MAKAUT. The merit list is created based on marks scored by candidates in Class 12.

• The total seat intake for BCA is 100
• For BBA, the total seat intake is 60

JISCE Kolkata PG Admission 2023

• JIS College of Engineering offers MTech and MBA at PG level. Admission to MTech and MBA exam is entrance-based. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to PG courses is graduation.

JISCE Kolkata MTech Admission

JISCE offers two-year full-time MTech in four specialisations. Exams accepted for admission to JISCE MTech programme are GATE, WBUT PGET and CEE AMPAI Masters. Aspirants can apply for admission to MTech programme based on marks scored in any of these exams. The total seat intake for this programme is 72. MTech specialisations along with their eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

JISCE Kolkata MBA Admission 2023

Admission process for MBA includes a valid score in the entrance exam followed by GD and PI conducted by MAKAUT. MAT, JEMAT and CAA AMPAI Masters are the exams accepted by JISCE. JEMAT is conducted in offline mode. MBA is spread over two years in four semesters. The total seat intake for this programme is 60. Look at the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

JISCE offers Diploma in Electrical Engineering. For admission to JISCE Diploma, candidates need to appear for JEXPO. The merit list is prepared based on candidate’s performance in the entrance exam conducted by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
