Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) is an autonomous engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and was started in the year 2001. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the discipline of Engineering & Technology and Management. Admission to NMIT depends on the performance of the candidates in various State/ National level entrance examinations. the faculty at the institute are highly qualified and well experienced. NMIT has an active and dynamic Career Development Center which provides 100% placement assistance to the students. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), Bangalore, one of the most sought after engineering institutes, is an Autonomous Institute, with ‘A+’ Grade by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC), New Delhi, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Govt. of Karnataka The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. NMIT offers Nine UG Engineering programs and Ten PG programs including MBA and MCA. The institution offers Doctoral Programmes under VTU in diversified areas. Located in the city of Bangalore – the Silicon Valley of India, off International Airport Road, the campus is spread over an area of 23 acres and was awarded ‘Best Green Campus’ by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi. Admission Procedure
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology B.E Admission 2023
Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT) provides Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) programme for the candidates interested to make career in the field of Engineering and Technology. The B.E programme holds a duration of four years for each of the specializations offered by Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology.
The college makes the admission of candidates via different procedures:
- Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) by which 45% seats of total intake is filled.
- 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test, which is also conducted by Karnataka Govt.
- 25% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through management quota.
- AICTE has approved 15% extra seats for foreign nationals/PIO/NRI/students whose parents work in Gulf countries over and above the sanctioned intake
Note: The college offers a 5% of marks relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
